Baldy Hall Distance Learning Classroom is a unique facility which offers
a variety of distance learning technologies:
- A
Western New York fiber optic, broadband network enables us to connect
simultaneously with up to 3 other sites in WNY, with continuous presence
and full interactivity.
- Videoconferencing
over digital phone lines (ISDN) enables global connectivity.
- Videoconferencing
over the Internet
(using the H.323 protocol) enables global connectivity.
- Video
production capabilites for taping presentations or lectures that can
be duplicated and shipped anywhere.
- Satellite
downlinks can be viewed here; fax, telephone and e-mail are available
for communicating questions and comments.
